Ibuprofen: People that take Ibuprofen or other NSAID'S daily for months to years can develop side effects from Ibuprofen. There are quite a few serious side effects which may result from Ibuprofen (usually chronic use) such as GI bleeding, bleeding ulcers, ringing in the ears, double vision, heart attack and many other. You are taking a very low dose so the risk of developing side effects is low.

3-4 ibuprofen /mo : No. If you are only taking 3-4 tabs of Ibuprofen during the course of a month then the risk of bleeding or kidney failure is small. However do confirm that with your doctor. You didn't mention any preexisting disease such as ulcers or kidney failure. Take plenty of water with it and during the day in between the Ibuprofen and limit the med after meals to only when needed
