Depends: It depends on the type. birth control pills are out of your system quickly, within a few days. It may take a little while for you to start ovulating again, though.

About 7 days: Birth control pills, Patch, Nuvaring, Nexplanon and Mirena (levonorgestrel) are out of your system in about 7 days. Depoprovera starts leaving your system 3 months after the last shot and can take up to one year
