Yes: Hopefully this resolves in 30 minutes or so. It may even slow some in 10. Some folk experience even higher heart rates during an attack, and do not incur permanent damage, so don't worry about that. However, CBT therapy can offer a chance to learn skills to avoid, reduce and manage stress, anxiety and panic. It can be a good investment in your quality of life. Best!

During a pain attack: Heart rate can increase 8 - 20 beats per minute above your normal rate. So it depends on what your normal heart rate is. It is very frightening and people describe it as feeling like having a heart attack
