This could be many: things including a kidney stone, an inguinal hernia, a muscle spasm, diverticulitis, colitis, testicular torsion, epididymitis or back injury. If it is mild and does not resolve in 48-72 hours I would get it checked out. If it is severe I would go to the ER right now. Make note of blood in your stool or urine, diarrhea, fevers, lumps in your groin. try advil (ibuprofen) 400 mg for a day or so.
