A member asked:

I took a first response pregnancy test 3 and 4 days before i'm supposed to get my period. both came out negative. i'm on bc. how accurate is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pill induced amenorr: It is VERY common to get light or absent periods on birth control pills, especially the newer low estrogen pills. The estrogen hormone causes the lining to build up and there just is not much or any to come out. DONT STOP taking them. If you have not missed pills, you are likely not pregnant
