Many reasons: One may lose hair because of stress but thyroid diseases, iron deficiency, lupus etc can all lead to hair loss. Check with your doctor.

Ponytails?: Sometimes, pulling the hair into ponytails can cause damage to hair follicles and hair loss. Also, sometimes people will lose hair after an illness or in times of stress. I do not think your meds are causing it, but if hair loss continues more than 6-8 weeks, see your doctor.
