False positive?: There are certain pitfalls associated with sinus x-ray which must be kept in mind while interpreting the image. Postoperative changes such as after the sinus surgery procedure will also render the maxillary sinus opaque (fluid). The best way to diagnose sinusitis is through physical examination and CT (computed tomography) of the sinus. See your ENT for post-op evaluation.
