Ask your provider: Gently ask your physician if you could try one of the other medicines in the same class as adderall. Such as Ritalin, (methylphenidate) Provigil, or Nuvigil. Each person is different and the effectiveness of each drug varies with the person. Ask yourself, why do you want to change? Usually, a patient is trading one side effect for another.
