A member asked:

After scs fitted iv a large lump at scar.consultant unconcerned every time iv complained but today got called for pet scan tomorrow.why might this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unclear: I suggest resubmitting your question, to explain what a SCS is. Is this a spinal cord stimulator? A PET scan is usually done to evaluate a mass or lesion, to see if it is 'metabolically active'. It is possible that the doctor is using a PET scan to evaluate the lump that you are referring to, in order to help the doctor figure out what this is.
