Seems likely: Seems from what you say there is disc in the left nerve path. Not that this doesn't happen it does and fairly frequently. Sometimes even scar tissue can be guilty of these symptoms as well. Talk to your surgeon about further treatment.

Correlation needed: It is not clear from your description if the radiculopathy is brand-new or if it's associated with old symptomatology. The MRI suggests that there may be either a fragment of prior disc material or possibly a new herniation of a disc. It is unclear as to whether or not this actually is pressing on a nerve. Further correlation is needed ( a good Neuro exam/possibly EMG) to determine the best Rx.
