Mask ex side effects: Nasonex (mometasone) is a cortisone type of nasal spray, to treat allergic or non allergic rhinitis. It helps to decrease the nasal stuffiness or congestion, if used regularly. One side effect is nose bleed in some people, especially if the nose is very dry. Nasal saline or applying a touch of vaseline or mentholatum may help. Some people just don't like to use any nasal sprays. It is a very useful spray.

Side-effects rare: Nasonex (mometasone) is safe and effective. Most common side-effect is nose bleed from aiming the nozzle too close to the septum (structure dividing nostrils) so aim nozzle out toward ear on same side as nostril.
