Yes: Yes, hyper and hypo-thyroidism can be a cause of miscarriage. Unlikely cause, but definitely within the realm of possibility. The most common cause of 99% of all first trimester miscarriages is going to be chromosomal abnormalities, embryos that just aren't compatible with life. If you have untreated thryoid disease, though, make sure you get it treated before having unprotected sex
