Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) side effects: pristiq, (desvenlafaxine) an SNRI is approved to treat Depression. Most SSRIs and SNRIs r well tolerated and have few side effects. Often, side effects produced by these meds resolve in about a week. 2 limit side effects of any med, it is recommended to use the minimum dose necessary. Talk with ur doc about the side effects you've had in the past and make a plan in advance to manage any side effects if they arise.

If you are not comfortable or unsure about the medication your Doctor prescribed then it is advisable to get a second opinion from a Psychiatrist after you have had a complete physical exam by your Primary Care Physician to rule out any underlying illness. A Clinical Psychologist can also help you with psychotherapy.
