I think you know..: I get the feeling you already know the answer to your question, but yes, from what you describe it sounds like you have some perfectionistic tendencies. You might even have obsessive-compulsive disorder or obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. I think cognitive behavioral therapy would do you worlds of good in reframing the way you think and make you feel better about yourself.

Sometimes people with this type of personality are extremely successful if they keep a balanced life. Sometimes people think that 'having it your way' is more important than relationships, it can cause alienation and being alone, not good.
