A member asked:

Gestational sac measuring 12.37mm and no yolk. is this a blighten ovum?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blighted ovum: It could be...or it could just be a very early pregnancy. The best way to tell is by getting quantitative blood HCG tests 2-3 days apart. The HCG (pregnancy hormone) should double about every 2 days if the pregnancy is normal. Getting another ultrasound in 7 days would also show if the pregnancy is normal or not.
