Seek care if persist: There are various reasons to explain her symptoms- uterine implantation can sometimes cause spotting, she could also be starting with a bladder infection. I would be more concerned about miscarriage if she were to have abdominal pain or cramping. If the spots persist or she develops cramping, seek medical care. In the meantime, I would suggest she rest.
