Sleep apnea: has to do with stopping breathing while asleep. It can only be diagnosed in a sleep laboratory. Snoring alone or sleeping with ones mouth open isn't diagnostic criteria for Sleep Apnea. If concerned, a pulmonologist can help with the diagnosis.
