i was wondering does the emergency room give out birth control?

Confusing question: Since contraception is not an emergency room issue, it would not be routine for any emergency room to do the proper history, exams, counselling to start birth control. That is more responsibly done at a clinic or with your doc. In situations of rape, they may provide access to post-exposure meds.Present meds are available that are effective up to 5 days after exposure.
