Yes: Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) can cause unexplained bleeding. Its one of the most common side-effects. The good news is that after a year of use around 45% of women on Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) don't bleed at all. After 2 years, up to 75% have no periods at all. Best wishes!
