A member asked:

Could statin drugs cause nerve damage (polyneuropathy)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nerve damage: There are case reports but no definitive studies that show that statins cause nerve damage or polyneuropathy. Often there are other causes for the neuropathy that can be explained by a careful history, blood work, and a nerve test by a neurologist.
