Can you tell me if metformin makes you drowsy after you eat?

No: Hi. No, metformin doesn't cause drowsiness after eating. But your diabetes may not be controlled. If your post meal sugars are going very high, that CAN make you drowsy. I suggest checking your sugar 1, 2, & 3 hours after your standard biggest meal (usually dinner). Talk to your doctor. I use a lot of metformin, but seldom find it very satisfactory in monotherapy. To your health!
