I think you have: been watching too many Hebrew National commercials, regarding the work of a "higher power." Alcohol is alcohol, whatever the product it is in. If you consume too much, you will get intoxicated. The vehicle plays some role, because it is harder to consume more alcohol in less concentrated forms like beer/wine than in distilled spirits, like whisky/vodka, but if you take it in, it will get you drunk
