A member asked:

Could hyperthyroidism mean low or high testosterone?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Yes!: Your thyroid is a butterfly shaped organ towards the front of your neck. Hyperthyroidism is a condition of excess thyroid hormone. Testosterone is produced by your gonads or sexual organs (you neglected to state your gender). Your thyroid can become over/underactive separate from your gonads. Or your pituitary can affect both at same time. Go see your familydoc if concerned.
