Not recommended: because alcohol causes Folic Acid deficiency and induce mouth sores. Mouth sores, including canker sores, are a minor irritation that usually disappear after a week or two, hence no need to drink vodka. Also the risk of mouth cancer is increased by smoking and drinking alcohol.

No: If you had open wound on your leg would you pour alcohol onto it? I think not. Alcohol, either topically or ingested, will only slow healing and, like smoking, can lead do oral cancer.
