Hydroquinone: Hydroquinone is a common skin lightening product. It interferes with your pigment cells ability to produce melanin which determines the shade of your skin. By blocking the formation of new pigment, and as skin cells naturally shed, the skin becomes lighter. However, once you stop the cream the pigment cells begin producing melanin once again.
