Be patient: The first few weeks after thyroidectomy are often really hard and your symptoms are (unfortunately) fairly common. The good news is dysgeusia (bad taste) is a temporary condition. Keep going as you are and inform your doctor if there are any negative changes, but things will be much better soon.
