Low probability: Was the ear ringing and pressure one ear, or both? Any nausea? If one ear might have higher liklihood of defined cause. With single spell relatively low probability of finding a cause with this symptom complex. A hearing and balance center can do tests to look for objective evidence of problem - which greatly helps diagnostic pursuits.
