Not serious: Pyogenic granulomas are benign healing type overgrowths of mucosal tissue. They can form with any irritation or surgery that goes through the mucosa of the lining of the eye. It is nothing that you had control over. These can be easily removed without scarring or discomfort by your ophthalmologist.
