Yes: IBS can cause pain anywhere there is small or large intestine, and since the appendix is at the very end of the ascending colon, it can be considered part of this, although it is unlikely the pain you are feeling is directly from the appendix unless it is very sharp, getting worse, and accompanied by nausea, vomiting, or even fever. In this case, you need to see a doctor right away.
