Complex: The LCL is extremely complex. A tear often requires surgical reconstruction as it does not heal on its own. Knee cap pain is a separate and discrete issue. In your situation it may be best to seek out your nearest friendly neighborhood Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon!
