No: Not strep. Blisters are often a symptom of a viral infection. If they are present on the palms and soles as well, then this could be Hand, Foot and Mouth disease (sounds bad, but isn't). If the sores are painful, try giving popsicles and tylenol (acetaminophen). The main concern is keeping the child hydrated if she doesn't want to eat or drink.

It will hurt!: You can do that, but it will certainly be painful and with no less problems. There are some treatments available for this blisters as to stop the infection. Make sure you keep your mouth in good hygiene. No acid producing food or liquids.
