Tinea versicolor: You can use head and shoulders hair shampoo that may be more effective. In any case it will take 6-8 weeks to heal

Unlikely to help: Any fungal infection in the scalp will get into the hair root base too deep for any cream you apply on the surface to reach & kill the germ. If you truly have scalp fungus it will require an oral medication like Griseofulvin often for a month or more.
