Not really: Herpes lesions typically resemble blisters that rupture, form shallow ulcers, then heal with scab formation. Herpes lesions are painful. Hot tub folliculitis usually involves large surfaces of the body, and looks like red bumps and/ or pustules. There are no ulcers

Not really: Folliculitis looks like little pimples at the base of the hair shafts. Herpes looks like clear fluid filled blisters. Both can burn and hurt. If you are having a painful vaginal discharge you need to get tested.
