Yes: If you are a sexually active 23 yo female you are at risk of becoming pregnant. Although you are most likely to get pregnant mid-cycle, it is not the only time you can get pregnancy. Women get pregnant during their menses. Your menstrual cycle does not always predict ovulation and therefore peak risk of pregnancy. If you are not pregnant, there are other conditions that can cause symptoms.
