Interested to know when people who are on intravenous food need to poop how do they do it?

IV feedings.: Even people who are solely on IV feedings in the hospital will still need to have bowel movements. Because they're not eating solid food, their bowel movements may be less frequent. Your body still secretes bile and still will produce bowel movements, however. Hope that helps.
