Not uncommon: Viral infections frequently cause muscle pain.Usually helped by NSAIDs like Ibuprofen.Coughing can knock ribs out of whack (upper back pain) or lying down a long time can result in low back pain from muscle spasm/vertebral twists, etc.If pain is more severe, not relieved by NSAIDs, or is persistent, a good osteopathic history & exam might find the cause. Osteopathic manipulation may help.
