The only real way: to prevent flu is to get that year's flu shot. You may not get the flu, could get a milder case of the flu or a different strain of flu -even if vaccinated. The Flu shot is a great preventive measure. Healthy diet may still enhance immunity.

Moral choice: Despite all the huckstering, the benefits of a vegan diet are moral rather than health-related. In the last few big studies, vegetarians and omnivores have not differed either in longevity, in any other measure of health, or specific disease categories when we control for other lifestyle considerations.
