I need help! how do i know if i have diabetic ketoacidosis?

Are you sick?: Hi. Are you type 1 or type 2? Usually if you are in DKA, you're sick. You can do home ketone monitoring in urine or blood. If you're in DKA, your BG will be high (usually >400). If you don't have home ketone testing and you're sick, get to the ER ASAP. If you can keep food down, make sure to get some fluids in you. DON'T SKIP YOUR BASAL INSULIN EVER. Good luck, and I hope you're not in DKA.
