At my dd 4yr physical she grew 5 inches but only gained 2lbs she weighs 34lbs now. is that normal to not gain that much the previous she gained 4lbs.

Growth: With growth, we check how the height is compared to the weight. Your doctor probably plotted out your child's weight and height on a growth chart. This tells us if the child is growing appropriately, where she is compared to other girls her age (like 50th percentile is average), and if her weight is right for her height. My feeling is it's ok, or they would have said something, but check and see.

Weight: Children of your child's age usually gain 2-5 pounds a year so you shouldn't worry
