A member asked:

Can a child get adenovirus infection twice in a month, or would it be the same infection getting a relapse?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Jay Park answered

Reinfected: Reinfected with different serotype rather than a relapse. Adenovirus infection most often involves upper respiratory tract causing common cold and sore throat (pharyngitis or tonsillitis). It (different serotype) occasionally causes eye infection (acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis) and gastroenteritis.
