Yes.: You can do activity that day, as long as it can be done without health risk. It might be smart to see your doctor to get an idea of how fit you are, and what actifvity you can tolerate. But even on days of no free time, simple activity can be done, like light bending exercises for 5 minutes before bedtime, or during lunch, etc.
