Canker sores: If it is truly a canker sore (aphthous ulcer) it can take up to 14 days to completely resolve. If it lasts longer, you have other symptoms, or you want to make sure that it is actually a canker sore, see your dentist for a one on one clinical evaluation. Regardless, all lesions lasting longer than 2 weeks need to be evaluated for more serious conditions.
