Transient issue: Fetal o2 generally runs low levels while they extract it from mom with the placenta but it is adequate for their needs. During the transition of labor & delivery it continues to remain low ~70 & generally will not come up to regular levels (95+) for several minutes or hours after birth.Scalp abg's @ birth document stress, but are less important than babies vigor & breathing effort @ delivery.
