Vantin-antibiotic: Cefpodoxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria such as pneumonia; bronchitis; gonorrhea; and ear, skin, throat, and urinary tract infections. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.
