Is metamucil safe in third trimester? does it prevent nutrients from getting to fetus? how does it actually work and any precautions while taking it?

Safe: Metamucil is a bulk laxative, which helps hold water in the stool to make it easier to pass, and is safe in pregnancy. You need to be sure and drink a lot of water, too. It will not effect the babies nutrition.
