Not related: It is unlikely that the two are related. Blockage of the bile duct would lead to all your stools being light colored, not patches. What the patches represent are unknown, possibly some undigested food, While some infections or inflammation can cause uneven colored stool, I doubt this also, without additional symptoms. If it happens again, save a specimen
