90 days: Regarding the window period, if you may have been exposed to syphilis less than 3 months ago (window period) and get tested for syphilis, there is a risk of a false negative. There are many types of syphilis tests, including a rapid HIV-syphilis test and a rapid test for syphilis, both for use at the point of care. Most tests for syphilis are looking for antibodies.
