Good daily hygiene: Acne is usually best treated with multiple steps. The first is to be sure you wash your face twice daily with a cleanser that contains benzoyl peroxide. Unless your skin is very dry, do not apply and lotions or creams. Only use facial care or makeup that is non-comedogenic (does not block pores). Add a 5% OTC Benzoyl Peroxide Gel to your regimen twice daily on affected skin.
