Not an ileus.: An ileus is when your intestines "go to sleep" for one reason or another. There are many causes of it, but you are not describing an ileus. It is usually due to inflammation or infection in or near the abdomen. You may be having a reaction to the bananas. Do you work in healthcare? Are you exposed to latex regularly? Do you have reactions to avocados or hazel nuts?
