Called microdiscectomy surgeon about the increased shooting/cramping pain down lt leg & nurse said overdoing it sun & was cause. pain is 10 behind my knee & can't straighten it...in tears. any ideas?

Pain out of control: For a problem with severe pain like this, you should be seen by a doctor. A phone call is not good enough. Please go to an ER or urgent care center where a professional clinician can evaluate you. I think of "what could" happen after surgery... Also just acute pain management is a reason for you to be seen. Hang in there!

Sciatica: If you are having severe leg pain after a microdiscectomy then it is possible that you have a re-herniation. You should see your surgeon and get a new MRI
